Flat Gaskets

Flat gaskets are used for static sealing of two flat sealing surfaces like flanges, containers, housings or covers. They are especially used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry. The materials shall be carefully selected according to possible aggressive media, along with high temperatures and pressure.

Flanges connect different parts like valves, fittings, pipes and pumps. The surface finish and evenness of the flange will determine the gasket thickness to be used.

Flat gaskets made by blade cutting

This type of process is used for products that require an excellent degree of finish; unlike punching, it does not require tooling costs and is also ideal for both mass production and low quantities.

Flat gaskets made by water cutting – Waterjet

It is one of the most versatile technologies that allows to cut any shape in rubber or other materials up to 10 cm thickness with extreme precision. No equipment costs are required and it is ideal for both mass production and low quantities.

Flat gaskets made by punching machines

Ideal for large mass productions of items in compact or expanded rubber. An initial cost for the equipment is required.
